Caves & Falls
Come & explore the unseen parts of Chhattisgarh. The perfect blend of nature & tribes living from centuries. Every day gives a unique experience from caves to waterfalls. The best way to know the lifestyle of the tribal people in their own way.
Day 1 – Raipur
Arrival at Raipur. After breakfast start the tour by visiting local Market area (Malviya road, Gol market, Sadar Bazaar & surroundings). One can experience the uniqueness of the local bazaars & shops & like; Pottery, Rangoli, utensils, clothes, Marriage items, Jewellery shops & others. In Evening leave for Sirpur & Overnight Stay.
Day 2 – Sirpur
In early morning starting with safari in Barnawarapara wildlife sanctuary where one can experience the wildlife of Chhattisgarh. After breakfast leave for Sirpur. Arrive Sirpur & stasting a tour with Laxman temple- it is originally a Vishnu temple made up of bricks. Buddha Viharas- Teevardev Vihar, Swastik Vihar, Anand prabhu kuti vihar. Market & residence complex- It is connected with river Mahanadi. The whole trade was done from this place. Surang Tila- There are 4 shiv lings which are different in colour & meant for the pray for different castes & other places as well. Lunch at Hieun Tsang Guest house. Post lunch leave to Durg & overnight stay at Durg.
Day 3 – Durg
Starting with Shivnath River and experience Rural Lifestyle of Mahamaya village. Also visit Jain temple in Nagpura village. By afternoon leave for Amadob & overnight stay at Amadob.
Day 4 – Amadob
Starting the tour early morning with safari in Achanakmar tiger reserve which is an extension of Kanha national Park. On the way to the safari one can experience the lifestyle of the popular Baiga tribes in the local villages of Chiratta & Birarpani. Also visiting Kabir Chabutra, where saint Kabir stayed & meditated for several years & origin Point of Narmada River & Son River in Amarkantak. By afternoon leave for Mainpat & overnight stay at Mainpat.
Day 5 – Mainpat
Mainpat, this is also known as “Shimla of Surguja”. In Mainpat there are certain attractions like; Jaljali- it is an interesting place in itself where one can create earthquake by its own. Dhapko monastery- It is the main monastery of Tibetans residing there. Dalai Lama also visited 3-4 times in this monastery. Tibetan Refugee camps to experience their lifestyle & famous waterfalls (Tiger falls & Fish falls). By evening taking a train from Ambikapur to Raipur.
Day 6 – Raipur
Departure from Raipur.
