Like any other traveler, one would just Google about Akaal Takht before actually visiting it. According to Wikipedia, it means “The Throne of the Timeless One” and is apparently is one of the five “Takhts” or seats of authority of the Sikh religion. After digging out some more info, India City Walks decided to make a visit to the place (along with the famous Golden Temple), and we were not disappointed. The intricate artwork & peaceful environs make this place worth a visit. One thing which really amazed us was the discipline of devotees and the excellent management of daily activities by the Gurudwara authorities.
