Golden Temple

Everyone must have seen the Golden Temple a number of times in popular Hindi movies, but seeing it for real is such a divine experience which we can’t explain in words- exceedingly clean, quiet and very spiritual. Although the place was bustling with visitors, but there was a certain ambiance and peacefulness about the temple.  But what are most impressive are the people working there, who are actually volunteers, providing free service of safekeeping our shoes, providing drinking water and cleaning up after the prayers. The chants and the gurubani and kirtans fill the air with spirituality and add a special divinity to the entire environment. The langar food and hot halwa prasad is the highlight of the temple. Worth a visit if you’re looking for peace!!
